General Information
At Martha Turner Reilly Elementary, we believe every child can grow, achieve, and shine. Our teachers use research-based practices that make learning both challenging and supportive, and our results show it—student achievement has steadily increased, and our state ratings continue to improve.
Teachers meet regularly in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to plan lessons that are fully aligned to state standards and designed to meet the needs of all learners. We also use high-quality instructional materials that ensure students are learning the right skills at the right time.
Every day, students have time built in for acceleration and intervention—this means they can move ahead when they’re ready or get extra support when they need it. To guide this work, we use diagnostic tools and regular progress checks, so teachers always know how students are doing and can adjust quickly.
At Reilly, we also know that movement is part of learning. Our students take intentional movement breaks throughout the day, which research shows helps the brain build new connections and makes learning stick.
Through these practices, we’ve created a school culture filled with rigor, collaboration, and joy—helping all of our Reilly Rams reach their highest potential.
At Reilly, we believe that student success is strongest when families and the school work together. We host a variety of activities throughout the year that bring parents and the community into the heart of our school, creating meaningful connections that support learning.
Parents are valued partners in education and are encouraged to take part in school life. Opportunities for involvement include volunteering in classrooms, joining the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), serving on the Site-Based Decision Making Committee, and participating in many other school events and initiatives.
By working side by side, we build a supportive and engaged community that helps every Reilly Ram succeed.
